Massaman curry is a popular Thai curry dish known for its warm spices (cloves, nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon) and creamy texture, thanks to the coconut milk. For a delicious and fast dinner, simmer a container of our sauce with 1 cup of protein (chicken, lamb, shrimp, garbanzon beans) and 1 cup of veggies (sweet potatoes, onions, cauliflower). Serve over rice and top with avocado, chopped nuts and cilantro. Like it spicy, add some cayenne to the sauce.
1 16 oz container of Saucier Massaman Curry Sauce
1 cup bite sized pieces of fresh or frozen veggies such as sweet potatoes, onions, peas, cauliflower, potatoes
1 cup bite sized pieces of protein such as garbanzo beans, chicken, shrimp (raw or cooked)
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)
1/2 avocado (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)
2 cups cooked rice
Place all the sauce from the container into a sauce pan and use the simmer setting to warm. Add your favorite veggies and simmer in sauce for about 10 minutes. Add protein and continue to simmer for about 10 more minutes. If the sauce becomes too thick, add 1/2 cup of water. Once veggies are soft and protein is cooked thoroughly, serve over rice, top with fresh avocado, chopped cilantro and nuts. Makes a delicious dinner for 2, and maybe even some left over for someone's lunch!
